Nfl London Games Bag Policy 2019

So, I was at the local sports bar last weekend, watching the game with my buddies, when suddenly, one of them pulls out a massive bag of chips. Now, I'm not talking about a little snack pack, this was a full-on, family-sized bag. The bartender, with a raised eyebrow, points at the sign behind the bar that says "No large bags allowed." My friend, with a cheeky grin, replies, "But it's not an NFL game, is it?" We all had a good laugh, but it got me thinking, what is the deal with bags at NFL games, especially when they're played in London?

London Calling: NFL Games and Bag Policies

You see, the NFL has been taking their show across the pond for a few years now, and with that comes some adjustments to the usual game day experience. One of the most noticeable changes is the bag policy. Now, I know what you're thinking, "But I've got my lucky jersey in here, and my team's colors are all over my bag!" I feel you, buddy, I really do. But the NFL has its reasons, and it's all about safety and crowd management.

What's the Scoop on the Bag Policy?

In 2019, the NFL London Games adopted the same bag policy as their domestic games. This means no large bags, purses, or backpacks are allowed. The official line is that bags larger than 12" x 6" x 12" are a no-no. Now, I've seen some creative interpretations of this rule, but trust me, you don't want to be the one holding up the line while security measures your bag.

But here's the thing, folks. This isn't just an NFL thing. Most major sporting events, concerts, and even some theme parks have similar policies. It's all about keeping everyone safe and ensuring a smooth event. So, while it might be a pain to leave your favorite bag at home, it's a small price to pay for a great day out.

What Bags Are Allowed?

Now, before you start panicking and thinking you'll have to go bagless, let me reassure you. There are still bags you can bring. Small bags, like a clear plastic bag that's 12" x 6" x 12" or less, or a small clutch bag about the size of your hand, are usually allowed. Some venues even provide clear plastic bags at the gate for you to use.

And hey, if you're really worried about your stuff, there are bag check services at some venues. You can leave your bag there and pick it up on your way out. It's not ideal, but it's an option if you really can't part with your lucky bag.

Some Tips for a Smooth Game Day

First off, check the specific venue's website for their bag policy. Some places might have slightly different rules. Secondly, if you're unsure about your bag, leave it at home. You don't want to miss kickoff because you're stuck in the bag check line. Lastly, if you do have to check your bag, do it early. The lines can get long, and you don't want to miss any of the action.

So, there you have it, folks. The lowdown on the NFL London Games bag policy. It might seem like a hassle, but it's all about keeping the event safe and enjoyable for everyone. Now, who's ready for some football?
