Hey there, coffee in hand? Let's dish about something a tad unusual, shall we? The Paul Funeral Home's recent obituaries. Don't worry, I won't make it morbid, promise. We'll keep it light, like a feather on a gravesite. wink
Meet Our Departed Neighbors
First off, we've got Ethel Mae Johnson, a sprightly 102. Now, I ask you, who among us wouldn't want to go out like that? I mean, can you imagine her partying with the reaper, all "Hey, I'm still here, and I've got my dancing shoes on!"
Then there's Harold 'Harry' Thompson, a man who lived life on his own terms. He passed away peacefully, at home, with a slice of pizza in one hand and the remote in the other. I mean, if that's not a send-off, I don't know what is.

And the Rest...
We've got Margaret 'Maggie' O'Connell, a woman who loved a good chat. She was known to talk the hind leg off a donkey, so I like to think she's up there, giving the angels an earful. Bless her.
There's also Gerald 'Jerry' Baker, a man who loved a good laugh. His obituary was filled with jokes, and I've got to say, it had me in stitches. If that's not a testament to his legacy, I don't know what is.

Lessons Learned
Now, I'm not one to dwell on the morbid, but these obituaries got me thinking. Life's short, folks. Ethel Mae lived hers to the fullest, and look where it got her. And Harry, well, he showed us all that you can have a little fun right up until the end.
So, here's to our departed neighbors. May their memories live on, and may we all learn a thing or two from their lives. Now, pass the sugar, would ya? All this talk's made me parched.
