So, I was sipping my coffee this morning, you know, just trying to wake up and face the day. I opened up the old laptop, and what do I see? The latest from Gentry Funeral Home, right there in my inbox. I mean, who else gets obituaries as their daily news? Just me? Anyway, let's dive in, shall we?
Meet Our Newest Angels
First up, we have Ethel Mae Johnson, a sprightly 103! I mean, can you believe it? She outlived two husbands, three wars, and probably half of Hollywood. I always say, if you want to live forever, just keep moving. Ethel sure took that to heart. She was still dancing the Charleston last time I saw her. Rest easy, Ethel, you've earned it.
Now, let's talk about Harold 'Harry' Thompson. Harry was a man of many talents, but his true calling was making people laugh. I remember him at the town hall meetings, always ready with a joke or a silly hat. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, which is just like him - even death couldn't keep him from getting his beauty rest. I like to think he's up there now, cracking jokes with the big guys. Laughter truly was the best medicine for Harry.

Lives Well Lived
Next, we have Margaret 'Maggie' O'Connell. Maggie was a force to be reckoned with. She ran the local library like a well-oiled machine, and she had a memory like an elephant. She could tell you what book you checked out last summer, and she'd give you that look if you tried to fib about returning it on time. She was a saint, and I'm sure she's up there, shushing the angels.
And then there's Richard 'Dick' Stevens. Dick was a man of few words, but when he spoke, everyone listened. He was a veteran, a husband, a father, and a friend. He lived his life with quiet dignity, and he'll be missed. I like to think he's up there now, finally getting the chance to tell God what he really thinks about the Red Sox.

Until We Meet Again
So, there you have it, folks. Another batch of our beloved community members have made their way to the great beyond. It's always a mix of sadness and celebration, isn't it? We miss them, but we're glad they're no longer in pain. And who knows, maybe they're up there, having a grand old time, planning the biggest reunion of all time.
Until next time, keep living, keep loving, and keep laughing. That's what they'd want, right? And remember, if you ever need a good laugh, just imagine Harry trying to tell a joke to Saint Peter. I bet that's a sight to see.
