Kimble Funeral Home Paw Paw Obituaries

Hey there, coffee companion! You know how we're always curious about what's going on in our little corner of the world, Paw Paw? Well, let's take a peek at what's been happening over at Kimble Funeral Home. Don't worry, we'll keep it light and respectful, promise!

So, Who's Been Making Their Exit?

First things first, who've we been saying our goodbyes to lately? Let's give a little shout-out to some of our fellow Paw Paw folks who've moved on to greener pastures. Now, don't go getting all somber on me, we're just acknowledging their journey, okay?

There's Eleanor "Ellie" Thompson, for instance. Now, Ellie was a character, wasn't she? Always had a story to tell and a laugh to share. She was 92, can you believe it? The woman had more energy than my kid on a sugar rush!

And then there's Harold "Hal" Johnson. Hal was a man of few words, but when he spoke, everyone listened. He was a WWII vet, you know. Always wore that old army cap, even on the hottest days. He was 89, and I reckon he's finally got some peace after all these years.

Who's Been Remembering Who?

Now, let's talk about the living, shall we? Who's been remembering who, you ask? Well, let me tell you, Paw Paw's been busy with its share of memorials and celebrations of life.

Ellie's service was a hoot, if you can believe that. Her kids made sure it was just like Ellie would've wanted - laughter, tears, and enough food to feed an army. I swear, I gained five pounds just from the smell of it all!

Hal's service was a bit more subdued, but no less meaningful. The American Legion was there in full force, paying their respects to one of their own. It was a real touching moment, I tell ya.

What's Coming Up?

So, what's on the horizon, you might wonder? Well, let's see...

There's Mabel Davis's service coming up. Mabel was a sweet old lady, always knitting something for the church bazaar. Her service is gonna be a real celebration of her life, with her grandkids singing and everything. I might even dust off my old harmonica for the occasion!

And then there's the Annual Kimble Memorial Picnic. Now, that's always a good time. Food, games, and a chance to catch up with folks you haven't seen in ages. It's a real community event, and I wouldn't miss it for the world.

So there you have it, folks. A little peek into what's been going on at Kimble Funeral Home. It's not all doom and gloom, I promise. It's a chance to remember, to celebrate, and to come together as a community. And hey, if you've got a story to share, a memory to cherish, don't be a stranger. Let's keep the conversation going, yeah?
