First things first, who's John Fogerty? If you've ever grooved to "Proud Mary" or "Fortunate Son," you know him as the lead singer and songwriter of Creedence Clearwater Revival. But wait, isn't CCR like, ancient history? Not quite, my friend.

Now, let's dive into the age thing. As of 2023, John Fogerty is 78 years old. Born on May 28, 1945, he's a year older than the rock 'n' roll itself, isn't that something?

You might be thinking, "Wow, he's older than my parents!" Well, hold onto your hats, 'cause here's a fun fact: John Fogerty is actually older than the state of Alaska! Alaska became a state in 1959, just four years after Fogerty's birth. Mind. Blown.
