So you just beat Clayton and his invisible chameleon buddy in Deep Jungle. Congrats. That means you’re probably staring at your Gummi ship, wondering where the game wants you to go next.
Short answer: Traverse Town. Yes, again. I know, you just left that place. But Kingdom Hearts loves a good backtrack.
Here’s the thing. After you seal Deep Jungle’s Keyhole, a new story beat triggers in Traverse Town. If you try to fly straight to a new world, you’ll just spin your wheels. The game is politely tapping its foot, waiting for you to visit the Second District.
Must Read
First Stop: Traverse Town (Again)
Land your ship and head into the town. You’ll notice something’s off almost immediately. The Heartless are throwing a party, and you weren’t invited.
Walk toward the Second District. A cutscene will play, and then you’ll face a boss called Opposite Armor. It’s a big, annoying suit of armor that splits apart and floats around. Don’t panic.
Just keep swinging your Keyblade, use Blizzard if you have it, and heal when needed. Donald and Goofy will help, sort of. They’re trying their best.
Once Opposite Armor is scrap metal, you’ll get some new info. Cid or Leon will point you toward the next world. That world is Agrabah.
Before you leave, poke around Traverse Town. Check the shops, open any chests you missed, and talk to the Moogles. They’re little workaholics, but they’ll set you up with item synthesis later.
Next Real World: Agrabah
Agrabah is your actual next destination. It’s hot, sandy, and full of market stalls you can’t actually buy anything from. Typical RPG desert town.
You’ll meet Aladdin, Jasmine, and a parrot who really needs to chill. The story revolves around Jafar being shady, as usual. You’ll also explore the Cave of Wonders, which is exactly as friendly as it sounds.
Bring Blizzard magic. Lots of enemies here are fire-based, and they do not appreciate a good ice cube to the face. Also, watch out for the Pot Centipede. It’s gross.

The Keyhole here is behind Jafar, so get ready for a two-phase boss fight. First you fight Jafar, then you fight a giant genie version of Jafar. Because of course you do.
Explore Agrabah thoroughly before you leave. There are chests hidden in alleys, on rooftops, and inside the Cave. Missing them means missing free stuff. And who doesn’t love free stuff?
After Agrabah, the game opens up more. You’ll head to Monstro, then Atlantica, Halloween Town, and Neverland. But one thing at a time.
What About Olympus Coliseum?
Oh, you haven’t done Olympus Coliseum yet? That’s totally fine. It’s optional for the main story, but you should absolutely go there.
You can fight Cloud, enter the Phil Cup, and later the Pegasus Cup. It’s a great way to level up and get some useful items. Plus, beating Cloud gives you a nice little reward.
Just don’t try to fight Cerberus before you’re ready. He will turn you into a chew toy. Trust me.
If you already beat Olympus, great. You’re ahead of the curve. If not, circle back after Agrabah or whenever you feel underleveled.
Other Places You Might Be Tempted to Visit
You might see 100 Acre Wood floating around if you’ve collected Torn Pages. That’s a fun distraction, but it’s not required right now. Save it for when you need a break from all the Heartless murder.

You might also wonder about Atlantica or Halloween Town. They’re not unlocked yet. The game will let you know when they are. Patience, young Keyblade wielder.
And please don’t go to Hollow Bastion yet. That place is a nightmare waiting to happen. You’ll get there soon enough, and you’ll probably cry a little.
Quick Checklist Before You Blast Off
Make sure you actually sealed the Keyhole in Deep Jungle. If you didn’t, go back and finish the job. The game won’t progress otherwise.
Stock up on Potions and Ethers. Agrabah has a lot of sand and a lot of things that want to kill you. Running out of healing items mid-boss is a bad time.
Upgrade your Gummi ship if you’re struggling with the flight sections. It’s not glamorous, but neither is dying on the way to a desert planet.
And save your game. Always save your game. Kingdom Hearts has a funny way of punishing optimism.
So, Final Answer?
After Deep Jungle, go back to Traverse Town. Fight Opposite Armor. Then set a course for Agrabah.
That’s the path. It’s not glamorous, but it works. Kingdom Hearts is a marathon, not a sprint.
Now go enjoy the desert. Just don’t forget sunscreen. Sora’s complexion is not built for Agrabah.
