How Old Are The Members Of Rush Band

Gettin' Old School with Rush: How Time's Flying for These Rock Legends

Alright, gather 'round, music buffs! Let's dish out some fun facts about the ages of Rush, those Canadian rock gods who've been jamming since forever. You might think they're all ancient, but hold your horses, 'cause it's not as simple as it seems.

First off, let's meet our band of brothers:

• Geddy Lee, the man with the golden voice and the bass that's out of this world.
• Alex Lifeson, the guitar god with a heart of rock.
• Neil Peart, the drumming maestro who sadly left us in 2020.

Now, you're probably thinking, "These guys must be ancient!" Well, yes and no. Let's dive in!

Geddy: The Silver Fox

Born on July 29, 1955, Geddy is the eldest of the bunch. That makes him a vintage 1955, just like those classic cars you see cruising down the street. He's seen more than his fair share of decades, but you'd never know it by looking at him. The guy's got more energy than a room full of toddlers on espresso!

Fun fact: Geddy's first gig with Rush was in 1968, when he was just a wee lad of 13. Talk about starting young!

Alex: The Ageless Wonder

Alex, our dear axe-man, was born on August 27, 1953. That makes him a mere two years older than me, and I'm no spring chicken! He's got the kind of hair that's been through every trend since the '70s and still looks awesome. Talk about a timeless style icon!

Did you know Alex was once a lifeguard? True story! I guess that's where he got his name - "Lifeson" must be some fancy lifeguard lingo, right?

Neil: The Gentle Giant

Neil, our late, great drummer, was born on September 12, 1952. He was the oldest of the group, and boy, did he pack a punch for his age. His drumming was so powerful, it could make the earth shake. Okay, maybe not literally, but you get the idea.

Neil was a bit of a brainiac, too. He had a degree in journalism and was a total bookworm. He even wrote a few books himself. Not bad for a rock star, huh?

Well, as of 2021, Geddy's 66, Alex is 68, and Neil, though no longer with us, would've been 69. But here's the thing: these guys have been rocking out for so long, they've basically become immortal in the music world. They've seen trends come and go, hairdos rise and fall, and they're still going strong.

So, next time you're feeling old, just remember: Rush has been around since before you were even a twinkle in your parents' eyes. Now that's something to think about!
