Hey there, movie buffs! Let's dive into a fun fact that's been floating around about our favorite underwater world, Pandora. You might be wondering, just how old was the young actor who played Jack in Avatar 2?

Meet Jack Champion, the Young Jack Sully

Alright, let's rewind a bit. If you've seen Avatar 2, you'll remember Jack Sully, the son of Jake and Neytiri, who's all grown up and ready to explore the world of Pandora. The actor who brought this young hero to life is none other than Jack Champion.

So, how old was he when he stepped into the role?

Now, you might be thinking, "Wasn't he, like, 12 when he played Jack?" Well, hold onto your bioluminescent plants, because here's where it gets interesting.

Jack Champion was born on June 18, 2004, which makes him a cool 18 years young as of 2022. That's right, folks! He was not a tween when he played the teenage Jack Sully. He was, in fact, a teenager himself.

But here's the kicker - when Avatar 2 was released in 2022, Champion was 17. So, when we first saw him on the big screen, he was just a year away from turning 18. Mind. Blown.

Why Does It Matter?

You might be wondering why we're all up in Jack's business, talking about his age. Well, here's the thing - it's not every day that a 17-year-old gets to star in a massive blockbuster like Avatar 2. And it's even rarer for an actor that young to hold their own against seasoned pros like Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana.

And let's not forget the physical demands of the role. Champion had to undergo some serious training to pull off those intense underwater scenes. He told Entertainment Weekly that he had to learn how to hold his breath for up to three minutes at a time. Talk about dedication!
