How Old Was Hilary Duff In Lizzie Mcguire

So, Like, How Old Was Hilary Duff in Lizzie McGuire?

Alright, gather 'round, kids. Let's take a trip down memory lane, back to the early 2000s, when our girl Hilary Duff was our ultimate Disney BFF. You know, before she was a mom, a fashion designer, and a wine connoisseur (yes, really).

Now, you might be thinking, "Wasn't Hilary, like, 30 when she played Lizzie?" Well, hold onto your mouse ears, because I'm about to drop some knowledge bombs that'll make you feel like you're back in the good ol' days of dial-up internet and TGIF.

Lizzie McGuire: The Early Years

Picture this: It's 2001, and Hilary Duff, a fresh-faced 13-year-old, is cast as the titular character in a new Disney Channel show. Lizzie McGuire was born, and with it, our collective obsession with Hilary's perfect bangs and on-point early 2000s fashion.

Now, you might be wondering, "How did they get away with making a 13-year-old play a 15-year-old?" Well, my friends, that's the magic of Hollywood. But seriously, Hilary was actually just a year younger than her character, which, let's face it, is practically the same age in teen years.

Growing Up (Sort Of) on Screen

Lizzie McGuire ran for two seasons, from 2001 to 2004. During that time, Hilary was, well, growing up. She turned 14, then 15, and finally 16, all while playing a 15-year-old. Talk about a blast from the past, right?

But here's where things get a little... interesting. You see, Lizzie McGuire: The Movie was released in 2003, when Hilary was 15. In the movie, Lizzie is supposed to be 16. So, Hilary was playing a 16-year-old while she was still 15. Mind. Blown.

Now, you might be thinking, "Okay, but how old was Hilary when the show ended?" Well, buckle up, because here's where things get a little crazy. The final episode of Lizzie McGuire aired in 2004, when Hilary was a mere 16 years old. Sixteen! Can you even?

And just like that, our beloved Lizzie McGuire was no more. But Hilary Duff? She was just getting started. She went on to star in movies like "A Cinderella Story" and "Material Girls," and even had a brief music career (hey, "With Love" was a bop, don't @ me).

And Now, a Word from Our Sponsor

So, there you have it, folks. Hilary Duff was 13 when she started playing Lizzie McGuire, and 16 when the show ended. And now, she's a 33-year-old mom of three, running a successful lifestyle brand, and looking better than ever. Isn't it weird how time flies? I mean, I still feel like I'm 16, but that's probably just because I refuse to grow up.

Anyway, I hope this little trip down memory lane has been as fun for you as it was for me. And remember, next time you're feeling old, just think about Hilary Duff playing a 16-year-old at the age of 15. It'll make you feel like a spring chicken in no time.
