How Old Was John Stamos When Full House Started

So, there I was, binge-watching Full House on Netflix the other day, laughing at Uncle Jesse's catchy hairdo and wondering, "How old was John Stamos when this all started?" I mean, the guy's been around forever, right? But how forever, exactly?

Back in the Day

Picture this: It's 1987. Ronald Reagan's in the White House, Dirty Dancing is sweeping the nation, and in a little town called San Francisco, a new sitcom is about to hit our screens. That sitcom, my friends, was Full House.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "But Full House was on for like, a decade! How can we pinpoint when it really started?" Well, grab your calculator, because we're about to do some math.

John Stamos: The Original Heartthrob

John Philip Stamos, our beloved Uncle Jesse, was born on August 19, 1963. That makes him a Leo, in case you're into astrology. Now, let's do the math: 1987 minus 1963 equals... drumroll please... 24! That's right, folks. John Stamos was a mere 24 years old when Full House first aired.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "But he looked so mature!" Well, that's the magic of television, my friends. Or maybe it was just the hair gel.

Growing Up on Screen

Think about it, Full House was on the air from 1987 to 1995. That's eight whole years of our lives! And poor John Stamos, he was stuck in the same age range for the entire series. I mean, can you imagine being 24 forever? Talk about a quarter-life crisis!

But in all seriousness, it's pretty amazing to think that John Stamos was just starting out in his career when Full House began. I mean, the guy's been in the business for over three decades now! That's some serious dedication to the craft of acting, or maybe just a really long contract.

From Uncle Jesse to... Uncle Jesse?

You know, it's funny how these things work out. John Stamos started his career playing a character who was basically a grown-up version of himself. And now, decades later, he's playing the same character again in the Full House reboot, Fuller House. Talk about typecasting!

But hey, if you've got it, flaunt it, right? And who doesn't love a good dose of Uncle Jesse every now and then? So here's to you, John Stamos, for being our favorite uncle, both on and off screen.
