Joe Seo Age In Season 1

Hey there, coffee lover! You know how we're always curious about our favorite actors, right? Like, what's their deal? How old are they? So, let's spill the beans on Joe Seo, shall we?

Joe Who?

Alright, alright, let's back up a bit. Joe Seo, you ask? He's the guy who stole our hearts in "The OA," playing the young, mysterious Homer. But today, we're not here to talk about his acting chops (though they're amazing, let's be real). We're here to chat about his age, specifically in Season 1 of "The OA."

Age in Season 1

So, you're probably wondering, "How old was Joe in Season 1?" Well, grab your coffee, 'cause here we go. Joe Seo was born on the 27th of August, 1999. That makes him a Virgo, in case you're into that sort of thing. Now, "The OA" Season 1 aired in 2016, when Joe was a fresh-faced 17-year-old.

But here's the kicker - his character, Homer, is supposed to be around 12 years old. Can you even? Joe was playing a kid who was almost half his age! Talk about range, am I right?

How'd He Pull It Off?

You might be thinking, "How on earth did Joe manage to play a kid so much younger than him?" Well, my friend, it's all about the acting. Joe's got this incredible ability to tap into that youthful energy and naivety. Plus, those big, innocent eyes don't hurt, you know?

When you rewatch the series, you notice the obvious age difference

And let's not forget the hair. Remember Homer's signature bowl cut? That alone aged him down a good few years. I mean, who among us didn't have a similar 'do in our younger days? (No? Just me? Okay then.)

Growing Up on Screen

Now, fast forward a few seasons, and Joe's character Homer is all grown up. Spoiler alert: Joe is too. In Season 3, Homer's around 16, and Joe? He's 21. Talk about a glow-up, huh?
