How Old Is Diane Sawyer Today

Hey there, coffee companion! You know, I was scrolling through the news the other day, and I thought to myself, "Self, have you ever wondered how old Diane Sawyer is today?" I mean, she's been gracing our screens for what feels like forever, right?

So, let's dive in. As of today, Diane Sawyer is 75 years young. Can you believe it? I mean, she's like the fine wine of journalism - just keeps getting better with age, don't you think?

Now, you might be wondering, "How did she get started in this crazy world of broadcasting?" Well, buckle up, because her journey is quite the ride.

It all began back in the late 60s, when our girl Diane was a junior at Wellesley College. She was studying English, minding her own business, when she decided to take a leap and apply for a summer internship at WLTW-TV in Louisville, Kentucky. Talk about a game-changer!

And guess what? She nailed it. So much so that she was offered a full-time job after graduation. I mean, who does that? She must have some sort of magic dust sprinkled on her, am I right?

But let's fast forward a bit, shall we? Because, you know, life's too short to dwell on the past (unless it's this fascinating, of course).

In the 90s, Diane was making waves at ABC News. She was the first woman to co-anchor a network evening news broadcast, anchoring ABC World News Tonight from 1998 to 2009. I mean, talk about breaking barriers, huh?

And get this - she's also a two-time Peabody Award winner and a 12-time Emmy Award winner. I know, right? It's like she's collecting them like they're going out of style!

So, there you have it - a little peek into the life and times of Diane Sawyer. She's 75, she's a broadcasting legend, and she's not slowing down anytime soon. Isn't she just the coolest?

Now, pass the sugar, would ya? My coffee's looking a little too bitter all of a sudden.
