How Old Is Barry Manilow Today

Hey there, music lovers! You know how sometimes you're cruising down the highway, windows down, and "Mandy" comes on the radio? You can't help but sing along, right? Well, have you ever wondered, "Hey, how old is Barry Manilow today?" Let's find out, shall we?

So, who's Barry Manilow again?

Alright, let's rewind a bit. Barry Manilow is that guy who's been crooning our favorite tunes since, well, forever. You know, the one who's made us swoon with "Copacabana" and "I Write the Songs". He's like that favorite aunt or uncle who's always there with a smile and a story, only instead of cookies, he serves up hits.

Born in the heart of Brooklyn

Barry Alan Pincus (yes, that's his real name, but we'll get to that later) was born on June 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York. That makes him a Gemini, in case you're into that astrology stuff. Imagine him as a little kid, running around Brooklyn, already dreaming of the big stage. Cute, huh?

Now, why should you care about Barry's age?

Well, apart from the obvious - he's a living legend who's still going strong - knowing Barry's age can actually make you feel good about your own. Think about it. If Barry can still be out there, entertaining us all these years later, then maybe we're not too old to chase our dreams either. Inspirational, right?

Let's talk about that name change

You might be wondering why a guy named Barry Pincus changed his name to Barry Manilow. Well, it's a fun story. Barry was working as a jingle writer in the '70s, and he wanted a name that would stand out on a record sleeve. So, he combined his mom's maiden name (Manilow) with a nickname he'd had since high school (Barry). And just like that, a star was born. Isn't that cool?

Why Barry's still relevant

You might think that with all the new music out there, Barry's old hits are just... well, old news. But think about it. When was the last time you heard a song that made you feel as good as "Could It Be Magic"? Or when was the last time you danced like nobody's watching to "Don't Know Much"? Exactly. Barry's music is timeless, and that's why he's still relevant today.
