Emma Watson Age In Harry Potter

Hey there, fellow Potterheads! Ever wondered how Emma Watson's age lined up with her on-screen character, Hermione Granger, throughout the Harry Potter series? Let's dive in, shall we?

Emma's Journey Began Early

When Emma Watson first stepped into Hogwarts, she was just a wee 11 years old. That's right, the same age as Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Imagine being a kid yourself and suddenly becoming a global sensation! Talk about growing up in the spotlight, huh?

But here's where it gets interesting. While Emma was playing a 11-year-old, she was actually two years older than her character. Can you even? I mean, she was already a teenager when she started filming the first movie!

Growing Up on Screen

As the series progressed, so did Emma's age. By the time they were filming "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," Emma was 14, while Hermione was still 13. That's right, Emma was technically older than her character for the majority of the series!

But let's not forget, Emma wasn't the only one growing up. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Rupert Grint (Ron) were going through the same thing. It's like they were all in this magical, real-life growth spurt together!

Now, let's talk about the final movie, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2." By this point, Emma was a whopping 22 years old. That's 11 years older than her character! I mean, can you imagine playing a 17-year-old when you're practically in your mid-twenties? That's some serious acting skills right there!

But here's a fun fact to wrap your head around. When Emma first started filming, she was the youngest of the main trio. By the end, she was the oldest! Talk about a role reversal, huh?
