How Old Is Buzz In Home Alone 2

Age is just a number, right? Let's talk Buzz!

So, you've been wondering, "How old is Buzz in Home Alone 2?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're about to dive into a world of lost passports, hotel mix-ups, and a kid who's way too chill for his age.

First things first, Home Alone 2 came out in 1992, which makes it older than some of your kids' kids. But don't worry, it's aged like a fine cheese - it's still hilarious, and it's got that classic '90s charm that'll make you want to bust out your old denim jacket.

Now, let's talk Buzz.

Buzz is played by Devin Ratray, who was born on January 11, 1980. So, when Home Alone 2 was released, he was a fresh-faced 12-year-old. But here's where things get interesting - in the movie, Buzz is supposed to be 16. Yep, you heard it right. They made a 12-year-old play a 16-year-old.

Now, I don't know about you, but when I was 12, I was still trying to figure out how to work the VCR. Buzz, on the other hand, was jet-setting to Miami, pulling off elaborate pranks, and looking like he could pass for a high school senior. Talk about a kid with a serious case of the 'olds'.

But here's the thing, folks. Even though Buzz was playing a character way older than him, he was still just a kid. I mean, have you ever seen a 16-year-old pull off a prank as epic as the 'fake spider' scene? I rest my case.

So, how old is Buzz, really?

Well, as of 2021, Devin Ratray is a sprightly 41 years young. But in our hearts, he'll always be that mischievous 12-year-old who made us laugh until our sides split. And isn't that what matters most?

So, the next time you're watching Home Alone 2, remember that Buzz might be older than your kids' phones, but he'll always be a kid at heart. And isn't that the best kind of old?
